                         Jennifer Sampou - April Meeting

Our Speaker in April is Jennifer Sampou.

Jennifer has designed over 5000 prints and sold millions of yards since 1989.
Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City is where Jennifer studied design and majored in textiles at University of Vermont. Laura Ashley in Wales, UK was where she started as a designer and in 1989. Jennifer moved to California to become creative director for P&B Textiles. A wonderful relationship bloomed with the fine folks of P&B Textiles as quilting fabrics and new printing processes flourished in the 90's. In 1996 she opened my own Studio Sampou and has been creating best selling fabrics since for a wonderful family owned company:
Robert Kaufman. Jennifer and her sister co-authored In the Nursery (C&T Publishing also part of her family business). You'll find her line of patterns with Stash Books along with her book, Ombré Quilts and patterns at your local quilt shop or in my store.

NEW LOCATION: Come join us for dinner at 4:00 with Jennifer Sampou at California Pizza Kitchen, 25513 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA

Please text your RSVP to Donna Wester 949 584-3210 by April 9th.

" Spring has Sprung!  And Daylight Saving Time is Here !

I am planning a Big Clean out of  my Sewing Room to make space  for all the goodies that I am going to win or purchase at the Quilt Show which is in exactly 41 Days! The BCQG Quilt Show is April 26-27, 2024  !

Did you enjoy hearing the lecture by the fabulous Maria Shell at the March Meeting?  I sure did, and it was made possible because of the money we raise from the Quilt Show which is held every other year.   This fundraiser  provides us with the financial means to hire fabulous speakers, and teachers for workshops and have a beautiful place to meet each month and so much more!

Good News:  There is still time to volunteer for the Quilt Show at the April Meeting!  The Quilt Show Committee needs all of BCQG members to volunteer to make this Fundraiser a Big Success!

One of the easiest ways to support the Quilt Show is to pick up your Opportunity tickets for the "Celebrate Color Quilt " and keep them for yourself or sell them to others!

Your support (by attending, spending, or donating your time, )  will ensure that The Quilt Show Fundraiser is a Huge Success! I plan on doing all 3 !

I am beyond excited, to see all of our member’s beautiful quilts !

This is going to be such a fun event with a Silent Auction, Live Auction, Boutique, Raffle Baskets, and Beautiful Quilts to inspire your creativity!

Happy Quilting
